Changing the language or theme
Why
The program comes in 11 languages and has a dark or light theme. You can also change the colour of buttons and selections.
Step by step
- In the menu on the left, click “Settings”.
- In the “Appearance” box, in the “Language:” field, choose a language. The languages are named in their own language, for example “Deutsch” or “Español”. “Automatic (system language)” chooses the language of the Windows interface.
- In the “Theme:” field, choose “Dark” or “Light”.
- You change the colour of buttons and selections with the “Accent colour…” button.
What you should see
The change takes effect immediately. After a change of language, the program rebuilds the window, and the paths you entered stay. With Arabic, the window is laid out from right to left.
What next
- You turn the “What would you like to do?” screen at start-up on or off with the “Show the welcome screen at start-up” box (see “The program window and the icon by the clock”).
- The manual is available in the same languages as the program. The “?” buttons in the program's windows open its pages in the program's language.
If something goes wrong
- “You can change the language once the current operation has finished.”: a backup, restore or check is running. Wait until it finishes and change the language again.
- “Automatic (system language)” chose a different language: the program takes the first language of the Windows interface that it knows, and if it knows none, it chooses English. Choose the language from the list.
